Pullip Custom concepts: Anticipations

Since Avatar's stretch of this half of the season came to its conclusion with Day of Black Sun a couple weeks ago [Nov 30th], I've been pondering constantly over doing a couple custom concepts of a couple characters. Since Katara, one of my favorite characters, has already been done, I've still got a couple other faves I'm in need of. Since Zuko had such a brilliant change of mind and chosen destiny for himself with the conclusion of the special, I'm overly driven to Convert a Taeyang into a likeness of him. I'm also thinking of doing Mai, as I really like her character, and it makes for a great "shipping war" set of photo ops. ;)

Mai I'll probably do first, since I already have more pieces for her then him. Biggest dilemma: finding the rest to successfully complete Mai---namely a head. :O Sounds alarming :D

Besides the BJD need, this is my biggest dolly dilemna.

Sienna and the chikkies >^^

This past weekend I had a photo op with my Pullip girl Sienna. Checked out a bit of scenery, and hung out with some chicks.

Chickens--that is.

Sienna got to photo op her interaction with the young chicks, including a 1-on-1 with a particular chick named Ophelia. She also got the great fortune of coming upon some fresh eggs while she was out there. The eggs came from the older generation, which I didn't get the opportunity to photograph, as they were out wandering elsewhere.

Here are her adventures at the chicken coop, Sienna's online photo album---

Little chikkies are so cute >^^<

First Holday while Living in Another State (in years)

After being on the road for 2 1/2 days (and covering 2000 miles in the process) it was fun to relax and enjoy the 4th of July holiday. Instead of going to a regional fireworks display (like years past with Rhythm & Booms at Warner), we held a nice one at the home of my aunt and uncle, with a few others in attendance. The blasts and crackling as a result were loud, scaring poor Casey the black lab, and the two cats, into hiding indoors for the evening. While nothing like that of the Midwest's largest fireworks display, it was more enjoyable mainly because there were no crowds to fend off, the food was free, and it was right in the back yard with true natural beauty I've only seen like that in the Northwest.

Today, the 5th, is the cool off day, the day Casey gets to regather her nerves on. Poor puppy ;)

Photos were taken, but the camera equipment and computer are still packed. Hoping to get that up and running sometimes soon.

The first loss; an uncle of mine that was, in ways, the glue that held my aunt together all these years. It's questionable of what's to happen to her now, emotionally, and her state of sanity. Hopefully, all will go for the better for her.

The second was tragic, but not unexpected. The loss of the sort was of a kitten I'd come to think of as my "Miracle kitten", the one I'd hoped and prayed for years to have enter my life. Sadly though, he wouldn't stay in my life for long, but for the time he was on this earth, he made me realize a lot of things, and even though his time was brief, I still think of him as my "Miracle kitten" as he was able to give me something I'd lost a lot of faith in--life. Although I only knew him for a short time, the message he left me was most vital, and I'll remember him for that.

The following picture is one I made up of him in the form I believe he is in now. A way I deal with stress and sadness is to put it in either writing or an artwork, and this was what I came up with in his loss.

Also, I have come to associate a certain song, sung by vocalist Sarah McLachlan, titled "I Will Remember You". The lyrics spoke what I felt best, and I've posted them as a reference for those who aren't quite familiar with the song.

Here are the lyrics--

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I'm so tired but I can't sleep
Standin' on the edge of something much too deep
It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can't be heard

But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose
Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light

And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories

Ironically, both passed from similar ailments; heart conditions. Heart attack for my uncle, a heart murmur that was a birth defect for the kitten.

My dreams, prayers, are that the two departed souls are at peace, and that one day I'll see them again.

All Them Cats...

I have quite the history with the feline kind. Over the years I have had love and loss with my favorite four legged friend.

We had cats in childhood, but there was never a real bond between me and the cat of the time. The true bonds would be formed much later.

We were in our second year of bein in the suburban Buffalo area (Orchard Park to be exact) we were given the opportunity to adopt two cats. Seeing as the last few places were no pets, I was overjoyed to finally gain a feline companion.

We started wwith two, an orange tabby named Friskers, and a beautiful distinctly black striped male cat (closed to a male calico I'd ever seen) who went by the name of Shadow.

Both got along well for the most part, until we moved back to Wisconsin. When we arrived to the Chees State we made temporary lodging with a friend.

The cats stayed with us.

Unfortunately, the screen in one of the windows of the room we kept the cats in had a hole in it, and Shadow forever departed from our lives :(

Friskers was only cat for a while, until a little black cat named Spooky entered our lives. That little cat was energetic, and ver friendly. Unfortunately we had to give him up.

Next in line was Mikey, a blacked striped tabby whose namesake was my late uncle (mom's brother).

We again found ourselves moving, and the cats came with. Mikey did not stay long though, for he disappeared one day and we never saw him again.

Frisky was alone for the third time. This time he would gain not one, but two pals, another black striped tabby named Bizkit (sis named him), and his sister Midnight. Frisky and Midnight warmed up to each other, and the result: five kittens:
Roary (Aurora Borealis)calico
Mira(cle) also calico (breech)
Pug and Spaz (full black)boys
Merlin (b&w like mom)

Merlin and Pug went to a new home together, Spaz, Roary and Mira stayed. Their parents and uncle went to a new home.

9-11-2001 Last sighting of Spaz

12/28-12-30: Roary and Mira have kittens.

four to each litter. My cat, later to be the last of the family tree, came from Roary's litter

Dipstick- Mira's: b&w (stepmom's ex took him)
Lua-Mira's: mut calico
Lani: Mira's: calico (went to friend)
Fuzzy black one (Mira's)

Fuzzy: Roary's: orange puffball
Orange and white and b&w: Roary's went together
Ravi (Nova): stepmom's ex found home through friend

Other litters (of importance):
Merlin (II) orange tabby: Mira's
Bandit (mut calico) Merlin's sister
Bebe: Fuzzy's little sister (smaller version of him too)
Max: Bandit and Merlin's brother (RIP April 17,2003, sadly in a tragic fire)
